After a long delay due to the Covid pandemic and vaccination programme, in October 2024 Eastbourne Borough Council transferred the lease of the community centre to the Sovereign Harbour Community Association (SHCA), a community-based charity (registered charity no. 1209189)

 

The charity's trustees are focused on delivering and growing an inclusive, safe, and accessible space where the community can come together for companionship, support, well-being, and enjoyment.

 

Apart from our Caretaker, the community centre is run by volunteers. 

  

Establishing this community hub has been a long-held aspiration for the neighbourhood and residents, and together we aim to create something special.
